Being interviewed on The Today Show with Maura and Daithi was an uplifting experience. Today I shared a brief outline of my life with Tomás and our continuing journey in the world of autism. I recounted how as a mother, I returned to complete a PhD in autism and motor impairment and have since gone on with Tomás to complete 10km runs, trails and half marathons around the world. We also explored Tomás’s further diagnoses of epilepsy and autism related catatonia and how this has impacted his life. I spoke of the new book I have published and the supporting online resource materials available on www.getautismactive.com. We will be rolling out autism awareness training workshops as we complete 2,500kms, of the Wild Atlantic Way running, walking, cycling and crawling from the end of January 2019. Join us on this epic journey and follow our story here on www.getautismactive.com.
